As a horse trainer, my philosophy is simple and my training methods straight-forward and easy to understand.
Whether it is groundwork, arena work, or trail riding my goal is always to be safe and to be able to control my horse through the bridle (control without pain, fear or intimidation). Teaching any horse to be quiet, calm and responsive is an important part of training that keeps us SAFE.
For me, there are two key elements to reach this goal. Bridle work and working on the horse’s emotions.
An important lesson that I have learned over the years is that it’s usually not what we are asking our horse to do but how we are asking. What I call “Complete Horsemanship.”
